President, Asia Pacific and Japan, Micro Focus
Over the past twenty years, and over the course of building profitable businesses in Asia and North America, Stephen McNulty has established himself as a leader in information technology sales and sales management.
As President of the Micro Focus Asia Pacific and Japan organisation, Stephen is responsible for all aspects of the sales and marketing of Micro Focus software across a diverse and dynamic region. Under his leadership, the Asia Pacific business has consistently earned recognition and awards for performance and achievement. These outcomes reflect his dedication to delivering innovative solutions to customers in both established and emerging markets.
In the past year, Stephen has been guiding the organisation through the complex acquisition, and then integration, of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Software division. Following the acquisition, Micro Focus is now the world’s seventh-largest pure-play software company. Prior to joining Micro Focus, Stephen served as Asia Pacific Managing Director for Progress Software, Asia Pacific President for JDA Software, and various senior management positions at Oracle Corporation.
Stephen holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, a certificate in Strategic Sales Management from the University of Chicago, and a certificate in Strategic Thinking and Management for Competitive Advantage from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School.
A true global citizen, Stephen has lived and worked in Australia, China, Singapore, and the USA. This international experience has provided him with the insights and perspectives necessary to build united cross-cultural teams. Based in Singapore, Stephen shares his expertise with the British Chamber of Commerce’s Information and Communications Technology Business Group, helping advance the Group’s mission to inspire, educate and engage Chamber members (and non-members) on the transformative capabilities of Information Technology.Stephen’s family share his passion for travel, and indeed each member of his family has been born in a different continent.
